The Dongan Hills branch of The New York Public Library is a modern, air-conditioned, one-story branch located on Staten Island.

The library occupied a rented storefront on Richmond Road from 1957 to 1974. It moved to its present location on March 20, 1975 and was renovated in 2008.

Renovations included a beautiful children's room with a separate preschool area, 10 computers, new carpeting and a stage used to host events. It now houses nearly 45,000 books, periodicals, CDs, DVDs, and other materials.
